Civil Garden Refurbishment

The Civil Garden located at the Koen-Dori and Yoyogi Park intersection is a refurbishment project. This new public square acts as a node between the park and city by joining the Shibuya City Office, Shibuya Public Hall, and Park Court Shibuya The Tower high-rise residence. The iconic clock tower incorporates each of the four colours shared as common symbols of the festa, chic, purity, and refinement project themes. This design revitalizes the expressively colourful emblem of Shibuya City. The circular plaza has tiered steps for benches which creates communal space for people to gather. The Civil Garden refurbishment transformed this corner into a wonderful new square where people can wait for friends or spend some quality time looking out over the intersection.
